release limited-edition bottles of ‘HM Sauce’ and ‘Salad Queen’, giving a royal makeover to two of the UK’s best-known condiments. It is hoped that the bottles, which are going to be available on supermarket shelves from this week, will add a ‘squeeze of fun’ to the Jubilee celebrations. The company noted that the bottles could serve as a saucy souvenir once their contents have been splashed on a coronation chicken and (Bucking)ham sandwiches.

“This is an extraordinary moment for the Queen and the great British public, and we want to celebrate this with two of our most well-loved and historic sauces,” Heinz senior brand manager Anke von Hanstein said. “Releasing limited-edition bottles in time for the Jubilee felt like the perfect fit. We hope our customers enjoy these celebratory designs and that they add a squeeze of fun to the Jubilee celebrations, however one is celebrating.”

Almost 50 per cent of 2,000 Britons who participated in a recent Opinium Research poll see the Jubilee celebrations as an opportunity to enjoy quintessentially British food like fish and chips, strawberries and cream and afternoon tea. They will be a part of picnics, street parties and gatherings of friends and family who will come together in celebration of The Queen’s seven-decade reign.
