Copeland pupils dress up to celebrate World Book Day

 St Beghs Junior School engrossed in as book, as they took part in the World Book Day event at the Whitehaven Library. In March 2006, Jericho Infant School in Whitehaven saw children come dressed in their pyjamas on World Book Day. Teacher Alison Quayle read to reception and Year 6 pupils.

We also see the 2016 Class 7 from St Gregory and St Patrick’s School, Whitehaven celebrating World Book Day in style with a variety of costumes. Bransty School, Whitehaven celebrated the event in 2016 with some colourful outfits.

In 2015, Copeland MP Jamie Reed was at Kells Infant School to read to Year 2 pupils. They have also had stories read to them by Copeland Mayor and now-Carlisle United assistant manager, Gavin Skelton. Elsewhere, pupils from St Begh’s got down to some reading with children’s librarian Kathryn Flagner?

Eva McCreadie, Leah Robson and Dominic Lord all read a story in their pyjamas at Jericho School in 2006 and we also see Moresby Primary School, Whitehaven, celebrating World Book Day. Finally, we have Tyler Wilson from St Begh’s School dressed as a Dalek, reading his book, Nightmare Room.
