Guess who from the Royal Family has to apologise?

LONDON (CU)_After storming out of the set of his British breakfast show, Good Morning Britain, last month, broadcaster Piers Morgan made his first television interview on Monday (5 March). Joining  Tucker Carlson on Fox News tonight, the outspoken broadcaster said he stands by his condemnation of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

Referring to allegations of racism made by the couple against the Royal Family, Morgan noted that it was “ironic” given the fact that Prince Harry was the one who was forced to apologise for racist language.

He was recalling an incident in 2006, when the Prince described an Asian member of his platoon in the British army as ‘our little Paki friend’ on one of his video diaries.

“I have met the royals many times and I don’t believe they are racist at all” Morgan said.

“In fact, the only member of the royal family who has had to publicly apologize for being racist is Prince Harry, who a few years ago had to apologise after using a deeply offensive racist term about a Pakistani soldier that he was working with.”

The broadcaster went on to say that the Duke also made several other racial slurs in that story which was published by a British tabloid, adding that this may explain the royal’s hatred for the British press.

The incident was following by St James’s Palace issuing a public apology saying the prince “fully understands how offensive this term can be” and that he is “extremely sorry” for any offence his words might cause. It also added that the royal used the term “without any malice and as a nickname about a highly popular member of his platoon”.

A year before the incident, Prince Harry was once again forced to make a public apology for wearing a Nazi swastika at a fancy dress party.

“But he’s the only one. Isn’t that ironic? That wasn’t mentioned by Oprah Winfrey – and it should have been,” Morgan pointed out during his interview.

The British broadcaster also discussed the claim made by the couple an unnamed member of the Royal Family raised concerns regarding how dark their son Archie’s skin might be. Morgan called on Meghan to reveal more details on the context, whether these remarks were innocent and harmless, or if it was said with malice.

“So you have the Queen, and frankly every member of the royal family, is still smeared with the idea it may have been them who expressed concern over the skin colour of Archie. Well, did they? And if so, who was it?” Morgan inquired.

“As a British taxpayer, who helps pay for the royal family, I would like to know, actually, if there is a real racist inside the palace.”

He went on to express his concern over Winfrey’s conduct during the interview, pointing out she did not press for clarifications on the allegations.

“My problem with this whole interview is that these incredibly damaging allegations were tossed out there, and none of them were challenged properly,” he said.

“None of them were challenged based on actual reality. None of them were asked, well, who is this person?”
