First Minister Humza Yousaf has had his first audience with His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
The monarch met Mr. Yousaf during an audience at the Palace. Mr. Yousaf also met the Lord Mayor of the City of London and the Spanish Ambassador and he also had a meeting with the Irish Consul general on Tuesday.

The Coronation was attended by Mr Ysouaf and his wife Nadia El-Nakla. The meeting followed the return of the Stone of Destiny to Edinburgh Castle earlier during the week. Although the Stone was traditionally used to crown the Kings of Scotland, it is presently used for crowning United Kingdom Monarchs.
Mr. Yousaf had stated earlier that he was a Republican, and hit out at costs that were involved with the Coronation earlier this month. He said he was committed to talking about the reduction of poverty and the cost of living crisis, investing in public services.
