Finally some good news of free Health Insurance to Indian sellers!

Mumbai, India (CU)_ Amazon India announced on Thursday that it will provide free COVID-19 health insurance coverage to its registered vendors.

According to Amazon, the insurance, which will be offered via Acko General Insurance Ltd, would be offered at no cost to the vendors and will be a continuation to the COVID-19 health insurance policy prepared in 2020.

The statement said, “Amazon.in will fully fund the premium cost for this group insurance policy that will be valid for one year after activation. Sellers with an active listing on Amazon.in between January 1, 2020 and May 1, 2021 can enroll themselves under the group policy to get coverage for COVID-19 hospitalisation and medical expenses up to Rs 50,000”. Further, the insurance package will also include the home treatment charges as prescribed, up to the insured amount.

CSS Corp, a global customer experience and technology consulting services provider, announced on Thursday that Sunil Mittal has been appointed as the company’s new CEO. According to the company’s statement, Mittal, who is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer at CSS Corp, will commence his new post on July 1 and will enter the company’s board of directors. He will supersede Manish Tandon, who is retiring after leading the company through a successful recovery.

Sanjay Chakrabarty, Board of Directors of CSS Corp, expressed hopes in Sunil Mittal. He said, “In his current role as the COO and in his prior role as the company’s Chief Revenue Officer, Sunil has architected unprecedented revenue momentum and pipeline for the company. We are confident that he will be able to build upon this foundation and take the organisation to the next level”.

In addition, Headspace, a meditation platform, also announced on Thursday that it will offer free membership to Indian healthcare professionals until May 2022 in order to combat rising mental stress and exhaustion. According to the company’s statement, the offer is open to every public and private sector healthcare practitioner in India. By giving some basic bonafide details, healthcare practitioners can get access to the Headspace app. The report further added that the healthcare practitioners have enrolled on a mobile health network called Lybrate, which links patients and healthcare professionals, for a broad reach among the public and private sectors.
