Canberra, Australia (CU)_ Professor Michael Lerch from the University of Wollongong (UOW) has been given a $179,000 Australia-India Council grant by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) to perform pre-clinical testing on a new medical device for neurosurgery. University of Wollongong’s Head of the School of Physics and the Deputy Director of the Centre for Medical Radiation Physics is Professor Lerch. He is a master in the design and creation of sensors and instruments for use in radiation treatment.
