LAGOS (CU)_Over the recent months, authorities and experts in the state of Lagos, in south-western Nigeria, have been deliberating on a host amendments proposed for the state Mortgage and Property Law. In early-July, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s special advisor on housing, Toke Benson-Awoyinka, revealed that in the amendments, the areas of concentration include the speedy perfection of mortgage title, sale by auction, remedy for wrongful sale and the introduction of provision for foreclosure, amongst others.
