ABUJA (CU)_Since its launch in 2017, the Absa Africa Financial Markets Index (AAFMI) has shone a spotlight on the opportunities for investment across the continent, based on six key pillars, namely, market depth, access to foreign exchange, market transparency and regulatory environment, macroeconomic opportunities, capacity of local investors and the legality and enforceability of standard financial market agreements. Now, as the region looks to build back better from the COVID-19 pandemic, the 5th edition of the index, published last week, is more important than ever.
