The premiere will take place at the David Geffen Theatre, which has a seating capacity of 945. The exclusive event is expected to bring together Hollywood stars, filmmakers from around the world and members of the international media.
Adding an Indian touch to the occasion, guests have been requested to wear traditional Indian clothing for the red-carpet event, which comes shortly before Diwali. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film features Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama, Sai Pallavi as Goddess Sita, Yash as Ravana and Sunny Deol as Lord Hanuman. The first part of the planned two-part cinematic series draws inspiration from the ancient epic written by sage Valmiki.
The story follows Prince Rama, whose life takes a dramatic turn when he is sent into a 14-year exile. Rama, accompanied by Sita and his brother Laxman, leaves the kingdom of Ayodhya and sets out on a journey that tests his courage and commitment to justice. Ravana, the king of Lanka, kidnaps Sita, and the battle of good and evil begins. Produced by Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios in association with DNEG and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations, the film aims to bring the legendary tale to audiences on a grand cinematic scale.
