Pres. Buhari happy with by-election results

NIGERIA (CWBN)_ Last Sunday (6th December), Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, said that the president was rather pleased with the results of Saturday’s by-elections.

Buhari has encouraged the party to maintain the spirit of work ethic, which led to the recorded wins, as the election results showed that the All Progressive Congress continues to remain the chosen party of Nigerians.

The presidential aide, Shehu, further went to thank all the citizens for their support and trust while also stating that, “Nigerians who appreciate the efforts of the administration in making life better for all citizens, especially under an economy facing the severest test from the global coronavirus pandemic will not be disappointed…”.

Additionally, Femi Gbajabiamila, Spokesperson of the House of Representatives, applauded the APC on its victory at the by-elections on Sunday.

In particular, the Speaker congratulated the APC in the State of Lagos and its triumphant candidates for the Lagos-East Senatorial District and Kosofe State Constituency II, Tokunbo Abiru and Obafemi Saheed.

Furthermore, on Sunday, Lanre Lasisi, Special Adviser to the Speaker on Media and Publicity, stated that the APC continues to be the party to be envied in all parts of the country.
