London, UK (CWBN)_ Earlier today, the UK’s vaccination campaign run by National Health Services, rolled out with Margret Keenan, a 90 year old grandmother, being administered the inaugural shot, at a hospital in Coventry, England.
Keenan said “I feel so privileged to be the first person vaccinated against Covid-19.”
The vaccine administered to Keenan was developed by Pfizer in collaboration with BioNTech, and was authorised for general last week, by regulators.
It was reported that Keenan will be celebrating her birthday in a week.
“It’s the best early birthday present I could wish for because it means I can finally look forward to spending time with my family and friends in the New Year after being on my own for most of the year.” she added.
