Veena Malik files Rs 1 billion defamation suit against ex-husband Asad Khattak

Mumbai, India (CU)_ The famous Pakistani actress Veena Malik has filed Rs 1 billion defamation lawsuit against her ex-husband Asad Khattak. The actress accused him for character assassination.

Malik accused Khattak for posting in Twitter the photos of her passport, identity card and residential address. She said that her popularity and reputation are ruined by his false allegations. Earlier, Khattak had filed a Rs 500 million defamation lawsuit against Malik and accused her for illegitimately holding in Pakistan their minor children, Abram and Amal. He insisted that the children were US citizens, and in spite of the court’s order in his favor, Malik did not let him meet the children.

According to the media, Malik’s lawyer had reported that Khattak had taken Rs 80 million from Malik to start a company when the couple were together and Khattak had now raised the question of child custody as Malik had asked him to pay back the Rs 80 million. The lawyer also said that the children were staying with Malik only for a short time.

Malik married Khattak in December 2013 in a court in Dubai. The couple are parents to two kids named Abram Khan Khattak and Amal Asad Khan Khattak, and after three years of married life, the couple got divorced in 2017.
