They are not only motivating the current generation of immigrant women, but also shifting the power dynamics in boardrooms. These Indian American women’s achievements are equal to that of the notable Indian American businessmen.  

Jayshree Ullal, Net Worth: $1.43 billion

Jayshree Ullal, the president and CEO of Arista Networks, the computer networking company based in Santa Clara, is the wealthiest and most successful Indian-origin businesswoman in the United States. She is a complete self-made businesswoman who made it to the Forbes Billionaire Club. In 2008, Ullal was named CEO of Arista Networks. She had previously served 15 years at Cisco.

Ullal was born in London and brought up in Delhi and moved to the United States as a student when she was only 16 years old. She obtained her bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at San Francisco State University, and her master’s degree in engineering management at Santa Clara University. In 1999, Ullal became the first woman to earn the Silicon Valley Entrepreneurial and Leadership Award. Ullal holds almost 5% of Arista’s stock.
