Mumbai, India (CU)_ Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is currently working in Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan. The actress has now shared an important update on the mega movie. The news will definitely excite the fan followers of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Mani Ratnam. The first poster for the historical drama Ponniyin Selvan was shared by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

The actress took to her Instagram page and shared the film’s first poster, writing: “The golden era comes to life. Mani Ratnam’s Ponniyin Selvan PS1.” The period play is based on the popular historical novel Ponniyin Selvan by Kalki Krishnamurthy. The cast of the movie includes Vikram, Karthi, Trisha Krishnan, Prakash Raj, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi. Lyca Productions is in charge of the film’s production.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan previously collaborated with Mani Ratnam on the films Guru (2007) and Raavan (2010), which starred Aishwarya’s husband Abhishek Bachchan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made her debut with Mani Ratnam’s 1997 Tamil film Iruvar.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s most recent film appearance was in the 2018 musical Fanney Khan, which starred Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao and was a box office flop. She will also pair with her actor-husband Abhishek Bachchan in the film Gulab Jamun. Anurag Kashyap will produce the movie.
