Mining magnate to ensure active participation of Indigenous people

PERTH (CU)_ Fortescue Metals Group chairman Andrew Forrest made headlines over the past few weeks for his comments on Indigenous welfare and mining royalties, linking them to the social breakdown in Aboriginal communities. The mining magnate is of the view that social welfare schemes for First Nations people weaken them, and continues to insist that he and his company stand for self-empowerment.
