Mumbai, India (CU)_ Dinesh Karthik, Indian cricket player, and his wife, Dipika Pallikal Karthik, Indian squash player who is a medalist athlete in Asian Games and Commonwealth Games, turned to social media to notify their followers about the birth of their twin sons.
Dinesh Karthik announced on social media that he and his wife Dipika Pallikal have welcomed twin boys. The Indian cricketer posted his new family photos featuring his new born boys in social media and excited his fans. He captioned the photographs as, “And just like that 3 became 5 Dipika and I have been blessed with two beautiful baby boys Kabir Pallikal Karthik Zian Pallikal Karthik and we could not be happier”.
Fans reacted positively to the news, with many applauding and cheering the pair. Dipika, Karthik’s wife, is a professional squash player in India who has earned credits to the nation. She is also the first Indian to reach the top ten of the official global ranks for women’s squash. Additionally, she has won several medals for the country in the Asian Games and Commonwealth Games. Dipika also used her social media networks to inform her fans about the happy news.
Karthik last played for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 season, which ended recently. The Eoin Morgan-led team finished fourth in the league round and subsequently defeated Virat Kohli’s Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) by four wickets in the Eliminator. KKR defeated Delhi Capitals (DC) by three wickets in Qualifier 2. Then, with a 27-run loss to MS Dhoni’s Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Kolkata missed the IPL 2021 crown. Though KKR was in its outstanding form this season, Karthik was not at his perfect form in the IPL 2021 season. He scored 223 runs in 17 matches. He also fell short of a ton or a half-century.
