KIGALI (CU)_Over the recent past, residents of the Rwamagana District in Rwanda have been complaining that a major steel manufacturing factory located in the area is discharging substances that are harmful to their health. In August 2019, the Rwanda Environment Management Authority suspended operations at the plant over the harmful emissions, but was later allowed to resume production by the agency.
