Unlocking Malawi’s Full Export Potential: African nation launches Export Strategy II

LILONGWE (CU)_The Ministry of Trade of Malawi recently launched its National Export Strategy II (NES II), in collaboration with the Commonwealth Secretariat and the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) Project of the World Trade Organisation (WTO). The launch was aimed at disseminating the Strategy to all the sectors of the economy so as to kick-start its implementation inclusively.

The launch, which was held under the theme “Unlocking Malawi’s Full Export Potential”, was attended by Lazarus Chakwera, the President of Malawi. “The National Export Strategy II outlines strategies and programmes that Government needs to put in place to enhance Malawi’s export competitiveness at the global arena,” the President said during his address.
