LONDON (CU)_Since the beginning of the pandemic two years ago, the housing market of the United Kingdom has continued to defy economic conditions. According to Halifax bank, house prices in the country are rising at their fastest rate since 2007. Figures published by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) show that the increases outstripped wage growth in a larger part of England and Wales last year, prompting talk of a potential full-blown affordability crisis.
