Lottery winners – Set for Life !

The National Lottery is looking for 3 winners of Set for Life who only have weeks left to claim their incredible prizes.  Three identical Set For Life Prize winners in the same area of the country bought their tickets on 9th January from the same draw.  One lucky winner might have mere weeks to claim a prize worth £360,000.  To highlight the search, Miners who are dressed in 1900s costumes are posing with the winners’ cheques at The Living Museum of the North, at lottery-funded Beamish. The date for the winner or winners to claim 3 identical prizes of £10,000 a month for a year is weeks away, falling on July 8, 2023.

Patrick Lisoire, Camelot spokesman said that it is a most unusual situation and they do not know if one person bought 3 tickets with the same numbers, or perhaps the tickets may even belong to a syndicate.  It is a possibility that a husband purchased one without knowing his spouse had got one as well, with the same numbers and the third may come from another member of the family who purchased their tickets in the Set For Life.  Since the winner or winners are out there in Co Durham, and time is running out they need to claim their prizes without delay.  Senior Winners’ Advisor at the National Lotter, Andy Carter added that they were hoping winners in Co Durham and beyond would act on the call from Beamish miners and bring out their tickets.  People are being urged to check their tickets.

In 2016, Beamish received £10.9 million in a National Lottery Heritage grant, which was used for a major expansion which includes a new 1950s-era attraction and moving Spain’s Field farm in Weardale brick by brick.  This project took several years.

Julie Wilson, Museum spokeswoman who was dressed in her Edwardian costume said that they were keen to do whatever possible to find the missing winners.  The miners even posed with pit pony, Flash, who was not very happy about joining the photocall.  The message they were giving out was – get your tickets out!
