Its 15 dead in Canada!

A deadly crash between a semi-trailer truck and a bus carrying elderly and physically disabled individuals, left 15 people dead, informed by multiple media reports.

15 people had died and 10 others rushed to hospitals with injuries in the province of Manitoba, informed the Royal Canadian mounted police (RCMP), mobilizing one of the largest emergency responses in the region as of Thursday evening.

Rob Hill, commanding officer informed at a news conference that this tragedy and incredible sadness will never be forgotten in Manitoba and across Canada. He went on to say to all those waiting, not knowing the outcome of their loved one’s condition, that they are sorry, a definitive answer could not be given immediately. The investigation has been taken over by the RCMP’s major crime services.

Bus carrying mostly seniors collided with a semi- truck shortly before noon. The bus was on route to a local casino when the crash occurred 100 miles (160 km) west of Winnipeg near the community of Carberry on Thursday. The drivers of both vehicles survived and admitted for treatment.

Tracy Leitch, Manitoba resident informed that she was traveling on the highway when she spotted a patch of smoke at a distant. As she came closer, she noticed a crumpled vehicle and a heavily damaged semi – truck. She went on to say there was nothing remaining of the vehicle as tears ran down her face.

The shock trauma air rescue services (stars) air ambulance service’s spokesperson informed, the service dispatched two helicopters and two planes with 14 paramedics, physicians and nurses to the scene.

The mass casualty event was declared by a code orange by the Winnipeg’s health services center hospitals. Other hospital around the area prepares themselves for an influx of patients.

The trucking company, Day and Ross, who’s truck was involved in the accident, said that it’s a heartbreaking and tragic news, and will fully cooperate with any assistant to the investigation.
