Africa (Commonwealth Union) _ The Kenyan government will be the host of this year’s Africa Climate Week, which will take place from September 4–8, 2023, in Nairobi. ACW 2023 will be held concurrently with the Africa Climate Summit, which will be held in Kenya from the 4–6 of September.
Ruwan Wijewardena, Senior Advisor to the President on Climate Change, met with Mr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, in a historic encounter at the African Climate Summit 2023. The gathering emphasised the growing significance of global cooperation in solving the urgent issues caused by climate change.
President Ranil Wickremesinghe asked Mr. Wijewardena to attend the conference, demonstrating Sri Lanka’s continuous support for international efforts to tackle climate change. The summit, which is being hosted in Nairobi, Kenya, has attracted attention from around the world as world leaders gather to map out a course for a more sustainable future.
