ADHA Outsources…

-

Australia (Commonwealth)_Last month, the Australian Digital Health Agency (ADHA), the overseeing body for My Health Record, electronic prescribing, and other digital health services, took an exciting step towards enhancing its technological landscape. In a move aimed at optimizing its operations, ADHA reached out to an external company to conduct an in-depth exploration of its ICT environment. This endeavor is geared towards formulating a comprehensive corporate IT and digital strategy, as well as a forward-looking IT roadmap spanning the next three to four years.

By opting to outsource this specialized project, ADHA aims to direct its valuable in-house resources towards fulfilling vital government priorities. This initiative is a short-term undertaking designed to rejuvenate and update the agency’s internal corporate IT infrastructure. The agency’s spokesperson explained, “We believe that this focused external collaboration will not only infuse us with fresh perspectives but also provide us with cutting-edge insights into corporate IT design and internal technology systems. While the execution will be overseen internally, the expertise brought in through outsourcing promises to be transformative.”

The anticipated outcomes of this venture are substantial. The agency envisions an elevated collaboration system, improved support for hybrid work arrangements through enhanced device provisions, and refined data storage solutions. Furthermore, the agency intends to streamline its operations by consolidating several business systems and maximizing the utilization of Dynamics 365, a CRM system acquired through a 2021 agreement with Microsoft. This system has proven to be a valuable internal asset, contributing to ADHA’s efficient functioning.

Ultimately, this undertaking is set to deliver an immediate technological rejuvenation. By establishing a clear trajectory for future internal IT systems, ADHA aims to empower its staff to effectively execute the government’s digital health priorities. This strategy not only ensures present efficacy but also lays a robust foundation for a technologically advanced future. Through collaborative efforts and a dynamic approach to corporate IT, ADHA is committed to achieving excellence in digital health services, both today and in the years ahead.
