We’re thrilled to share some heartwarming news from late August 2023!

A remarkable group of esteemed aged care specialists hailing from India, Nepal, Malaysia, Indonesia, Bangladesh, and the Philippines embarked on an insightful journey to the picturesque land Down Under, Australia. This collective of dedicated professionals constituted the pioneering cohort of the Asia Pacific Aged Care Hub (APACH), a visionary initiative spearheaded by the Aged Care Research & Industry Innovation Australia (ARIIA). ARIIA, a commendable not-for-profit organization generously supported by our funding, champions the cause of enhancing workforce proficiency and championing the integration of cutting-edge technology in the field of aged care.

In a truly uplifting move, the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade bestowed 15 coveted fellowships upon these distinguished aged care specialists drawn from various corners of the Asia Pacific. Their shared mission? To foster growth, knowledge exchange, and a profound transformation in aged care across our diverse and vibrant region.

The APACH fellows embarked on an enriching voyage, partaking in a series of enlightening guest lectures and engaging roundtable discussions. Their experiences didn’t end there; they ventured into the heart of aged care facilities and health departments in Adelaide, Sydney, and Canberra. This hands-on exploration provided them with invaluable insights into the Australian models of best practices in aged care.

This remarkable endeavor stands as a testament to the power of collaboration, compassion, and the boundless potential within the aged care sector. Together, we are shaping a future where quality care knows no borders.
