Islamabad, Pakistan (CU)_ The Saudi government has revealed the 2022 Hajj quota, permitting 81,132 Pakistanis for the performance of Hajj by this year. According to government sources, the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony will begin accepting Hajj applications in the coming days through selected branches of the country’s scheduled banks.

It was announced that Hajj expenditures, age limit, vaccinations, and other terms and conditions would be released soon under the Hajj Policy 2022. According to sources, applications filed by individuals or organizations will be chosen via a balloting process. It was also said that Hajj quotas will be distributed at a ratio of 60:40 between the public and private Hajj programmes.

According to Mufti Abdul Shakoor, Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, the Ministry’s staff should utilize all available resources to provide the best possible plans for the next Hajj and to deliver quality services to the pilgrims. After receiving an in-depth briefing on the ministry’s activities and responsibilities, he stated that Hajj was a fundamental pillar of Islam and that in order to carry out this sacred duty successfully, the people would have to forego their comforts and provide all possible facilities to the pilgrims.

According to the minister, the management of Hajj 2022 was a major responsibility for the ministry due to the limited time available to handle all of the necessary preparations for a successful pilgrimage. The minister underlined his desire to carry out his professional responsibilities efficiently and stated that he expects the same from all other ministry employees and officials.
