GRIFFITH, NSW (CU)_Over the recent months, supermarkets and fast-food chains in the United Kingdom have been running out of food products such as chicken, milk, bread and bottled water on account of labour shortages and shortfall in certain critical supplies. Reports show that post-Brexit immigration rules, together with pandemic-induced self-isolation requirements have created a shortage of tens of thousands of truck drivers, as fresh food processors struggle to find enough workers to keep their shelves filled up.
