(Commonwealth_Europe) The Ministry of Energy, Commerce, and Industry is giving Cypriot businesses a chance to step beyond the island’s borders in 2026 and share their work with the world. By organizing national pavilions at three of the biggest international exhibitions, the ministry wants to show that Cyprus, though small in size, is full of people with ideas, skills, and the drive to compete on a global stage.
One of these opportunities will come in December at GITEX Global in Dubai, from the 7th to the 11th. GITEX is known as the world’s largest technology and IT exhibition, a place where the biggest names in the industry gather to reveal new trends and forge partnerships. For Cyprus, this will be the fifth year in a row they take part. For the participating companies, GITEX offers more than just an exhibition; it’s an opportunity to engage with international leaders, showcase their work to a worldwide audience, and discover opportunities that can propel their growth beyond Cyprus.
The journey starts a few months earlier, in June, at Beyond 2026 in Athens. This event runs from the 17th to the 19th and shines a spotlight on innovation and digital development. It’s the kind of space where a young Cypriot entrepreneur can walk in with a fresh idea and walk out with potential partners who believe in their vision. For more established firms, it’s an opportunity to show how they’ve adapted to the digital world and to build connections that stretch far past the Mediterranean. Beyond isn’t just about technology—it’s about people coming together to share knowledge, spark inspiration, and create something new.
Applications are already open and must be submitted by September 30, 2025. They can be handed in personally, sent by post, or delivered through a private courier. Because applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis, the ministry is encouraging companies to act early. Final participation will also depend on the number of applicants, budget approvals, and the availability of exhibition space.
