NIGERIA (Commonwealth Union) – The air has been tensed in the city of Ibadan, capital of the Oyo State, since earlier this week as there have been protests happening. These protests are because there have been allegations that a hospital that has not been named for security reasons has been supposedly removing parts of a body of a dead woman for a reason still not given out.

The family of the deceased lady has been accusing and pointing fingers at the authorities of the hospital since the allegations came to light that the hospital has been messing about with the body. The accusations are that the authorities have been cutting the flesh of the body of the deceased who had passed away at the hospital in question earlier this week.

The family had come to view the body as well as make arrangements for the final journey of their loved one. It was then agreed that the Ibadan Central hospital would make the arrangements needed to take the body to the mortuary before the final rites can be provided by the family.

However, things went horribly wrong when the children of the woman arrived to check on the body, they noticed that the body had been tampered with. One of the children realized that there was flesh missing from parts of her body such as her hands which was visible.

He then panicked and called the rest of the family so that they could find out what happened and why there was flesh missing from her body. When he made these decisions to notify the family the public too found out and this started a chain of events that eventually led to people protesting.

Now the hospital didn’t answer the man’s queries about his mother or as to why her body had allegedly been tampered with. This caused public distress and people started swarming the city where now a full-blown protest was in swing. Of course, the police had been called and they arrived just in time to make sure that there was no further damage done to either party.
