Texas, USA (CU)_ A top Indian-American lawmaker has described the Indian violinist Avasarala Kanyakumari as a great musical ambassador who shared the beauty of the Carnatic heritage with music lovers throughout the world. Indian-American Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi lauded violinist Kanyakumari. He said, “Kanyakumari is a wonderful musical ambassador, sharing the beauty of the Carnatic tradition with music lovers all over the world”.
During his speech at the House of Representatives, Raja Krishnamoorthi noted that he was particularly impressed by Kanyakumari and her students’ recent rendition of the star-spangled banner on July 4th.
