Our organization has seen a radical transformation after LOLC Mauritius Holdings, a division of LOLC Holdings PLC, acquired Rwanda’s Unguka Bank Limited. We have renamed as LOLC Unguka Finance in addition to moving to a microfinance legal framework.
We started off as a microfinance organization in 2005 and eventually changed our name to Unguka Bank Limited to become a commercial bank. We can now have even more of an impact because we are part of LOLC Holdings PLC, a global financial giant that operates in 25 countries in Asia and Africa.
