AUCKLAND (CWBN)_ Contracts worth USD180 million were signed at the China – New Zealand dairy products business matchmaking conference, yesterday (Nov 10).

The New Zealand dairy companies were joined by many Chinese businesses seeking opportunities for bilateral trade.

During the event, which was initiated by the New Zealand branch of the Construction Bank Corporation (CCB), dairy companies from New Zealand and China joined an online session for business matchmaking.

In addition to the multimillion contracts, about USD1.3 billion worth of cooperation intentions were also reached between the parties.

“The online matchmaking and contracts signing is what we have initiated to help both New Zealand and Chinese companies with effective and boundless online financial and cloud supporting services,” Xingyao Li, Deputy CEO of the CCB New Zealand Branch, said.

Gareth Lyness, Marketing Manager of Blue River Dairy, said that the cloud signing and cloud matching would bring new channels for enterprises to trade and would provide a brand new platform for further exploring and discovering cooperation opportunities.
