Hyderabad, India (CU)_ Entod Pharmaceuticals has launched Macusaff pill in India, which is a saffron-based supplement to treat eye conditions. It is made from 100% pure saffron of Persian origin with 5% crocins and is imported from France. According to the corporate statement, it aids in the treatment of a variety of eye disorders, including age-related macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, and retinitis pigmentosa.
According to the statement from Nikkhil K Masurkar, Executive Director of Entod Pharmaceuticals, saffron is a spice that is obtained from the fall-flowering plant Crocus Sativus, which is a member of the Iris family. It is a spice that includes the antioxidant carotenoids crocin and crocetin, as well as additional components that have powerful antioxidative, cellular, and neuroprotective properties. Modern medicine has revealed that saffron contains anticarcinogenic, immunomodulatory, neuroprotective, and antioxidant-like characteristics as part of the animal and in vitro study.
Saffron includes the carotenoids crocin and crocetin, which have been found to have significant protective effects on retinal cells, helping to repair the function and structure of retinal cells damaged by oxidative stress in age-related macular degeneration. He listed the benefits of the saffron-bsed capsule.
