Foreign Minister in Dhaka invites Saudi Crown Prince Salman to visit Bangladesh

DHAKA, Bangladesh (CWBN)_ The Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Dr. A. K. Abdul Momen, has invited Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince, Muhammad bin Salman, to visit Bangladesh, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement, yesterday (Nov 22).

The invitation was made via Saudi Ambassador to Bangladesh Essa Yussef Essa Al Dulaihan, during a meeting at State Guest House Padma, also held yesterday.

The Ministry reported that Momen invited Saudi Crown Prince Salman to attend the celebration of the birth centenary of the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, in March next year, or to join the celebration of the nation’s 50 years of independence the following year.

During the meeting, the Saudi Ambassador complimented the Foreign Ministry for facilitating a smooth return of the stranded Bangladeshi citizens in the Middle Eastern nation, and further conveyed the interests of public and private investors in Riyadh to invest in various sectors in Bangladesh.

“He particularly mentioned about the interests of ARAMCO, Acwa Power, Alfanar Group, Engineering Dimension (ED), Red Sea Gateway Terminal (RSGT), Daelim KSA, Aljumairah Group etc.,” the statement read.

The Department also claimed that the Ambassador requested for cooperation from the Foreign Ministry to assist in implementing the agreements and MOUs signed between the two nations in the recent past.

Momen had assured the Ambassador of all cooperation to develop and strengthen the existing bilateral cooperation, it was reported.
