This will make it possible for graduates of Indian medical schools to pursue postgraduate education and practice in nations including the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand that want WFME certification.

Following this accomplishment, all 706 of India’s medical colleges are now WFME-accredited. Additionally, the new medical schools that will open in the next ten years will also receive WFME accreditation.

Additionally, as per the release, all Indian students are now entitled to apply to the Education Commission on Foreign Medical Education and the United States Medical Licensing Examination as a result of NMC receiving WFME accreditation.

It has now made the decision to exclusively recognize single accreditation body, and any approvals provided by this body will result in an institution’s automatic WFME accreditation.
