According to Mr Pichai, in light of India’s size and technological expertise, it is crucial to maintain a balance by instituting protections for people. Moreover, developing an innovative framework is crucial, so that businesses can innovate on top of a certain legal framework. According to him, this is a significant moment, and India will also become a major exporting nation. He further added that the country will also benefit from an open and connected internet, and that achieving the appropriate balance is crucial.

India assumed the presidency of the G20 earlier this month. Next year, India will conduct up to 200 summits around the country. In September 2023, the G20 Summit will take place in New Delhi. The G20, also known as the Group of 20, is an international forum of the world’s leading industrialized and developing nations.
