Here’s how Bollywood stars celebrated the 75th Independence Day!

Mumbai, India (CU)_ India is celebrating its 75th anniversary of independence this year. On this special day, people across the country celebrated the day in a grand manner. This year is particularly noteworthy since the government has launched the “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign. Accordingly, many Bollywood stars, including Shah Rukh Khan, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone, Kareena Kapoor and Saif Ali Khan, Salman Khan, Sanjay Dutt, Siddharth Malhotra, Akshay Kumar, and many others, carried the Indian tricolor flag home and displayed it in front of their homes.

Bollywood stars also showed their patriotism by wishing their fans on social media, posting patriotic pictures and paying homage to the motherland. Accordingly, former Miss Universe Sushmita Sen uploaded a photo of the Indian tricolor with the following caption on her Instagram profile. She wrote, “Happy 75th Independence Day to our Motherland India! I rise in respect and kneel in her honor. #India #motherland #love #pride #freedom #glory #jaihind.”

Neetu Kapoor commemorated the day by sharing a photograph of her daughter Riddhima Kapoor carrying the national flag on their balcony. She captioned the image as,  “75 Years of INDIAN INDEPENDENCE Jai Hind #proudtobeindian.” Actor Salman Khan observed Independence Day by uploading a photo of himself clutching the Indian flag. Alongside the picture, he wrote, “Wishing everyone a very happy 75th Independence Day.. Jai Hind.”

Esha Gupta endorsed the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign by sharing a video of herself carrying the Indian flag with Maa Tujhe Salaam by AR Rahman playing in the background. On sharing the video, she wrote, “Main rahun na rahun, Bharat yeh rehna chahiye (Whether I live or not, India should remain forever) #harghartiranga”.

In the meantime, a number of B town stars updated their social media profile pictures to the Indian tricolor. The popular stars participating at this event were Karan Johar, Ranveer Singh, Deepika Padukone, Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Sara Ali Khan, Shilpa Shetty, designer Manish Malhotra and others.
