Mumbai (Commonwealth Union)_ Ram Charan, the acclaimed actor of RRR fame, was recently bestowed with an honorary doctorate by Vels University during the 14th Annual Convocation held at the Pallavaram campus in Chennai. The Telugu actor was recognized for his remarkable contributions in the fields of entertainment and entrepreneurship. Accordingly, Upasana Konidela, his proud wife, took to social media to express her joy. She shared images from the ceremony, accompanied by a heartfelt message. She penned, “Dr. Ram Charan Konidela, Sooooooooo proud of you.”

The university’s official X handle also shared a snapshot of Ram Charan proudly displaying his doctorate degree. In their caption, they acknowledged him as Thiru. Ram Charan, highlighting his multifaceted roles as an Indian actor, film producer, and entrepreneur. The university’s statement reads as follows: “Thiru. Ram Charan, Indian actor, film producer, and entrepreneur, received an honorary Doctor of Literature degree from Vels University at their 14th Annual Convocation (sic).”

Prior to the convocation, the university issued a statement recognizing Ram Charan’s outstanding accomplishments in the entertainment industry and entrepreneurship. In his professional endeavors, Ram Charan is set to feature in Shankar’s “Game Changer,” alongside a stellar cast including Kiara Advani, Anjali, SJ Surya, Samudrakhani, Jayaram, and Sunil. Additionally, he has confirmed his involvement in RC16, where he will share the screen with Janhvi Kapoor under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana. Notably, Ram Charan has also greenlit his seventeenth film (tentatively titled RC17) in collaboration with director Sukumar.
