How far do  Tesla and EVs go…?

-

EU (common Wealth) _ New car registrations in Europe increased significantly, rising 18% over the same period previous year. This rise is due to rising demand for electric vehicles, particularly Teslas, which have surpassed the overall market. The rise of battery-electric vehicles, such as the Tesla Model Y made at Berlin’s Gigafactory, has contributed to this rise. Let us look more closely at this developing tendency in the European car sector.

According to a recent pan-European poll conducted by a major automaker, 70 European drivers are willing to adopt an electric vehicle (EV) as their future vehicle. This development is primarily due to the environmental advantages of zero-emission vehicles. According to the poll findings, the majority of European EV users (89%) are pleased with their electric driving experience, which exceeded their expectations. This encouraging remark adds to the growing interest in EVs.

Europe has developed into a thriving electric vehicle market. Despite having a smaller population than China and the United States, Europe’s higher average wages make EVs more accessible for a substantial part of the population. Several European countries, like the United Kingdom, have tight plans in place to phase out new fossil-fuel vehicles and impose strict pollution limits in major cities. These regulatory initiatives provide additional incentives for citizens to transition to electric vehicles.

Battery-electric vehicle sales increased by 66% to 170,389 units. This surge in demand for electric vehicles is a major contributor to the total increase in new vehicle registrations.

In May 2023, Tesla sales increased considerably, with 29,600 vehicles sold. This figure represents a whopping 1,920.5% increase over May 2022 sales of 1,465 units. From January through May 2023, Tesla sold 138,294 units, a rise of 121.8 percent year on year.

14% of new registrations are for battery electric vehicles. In the first five months of 2023, electric vehicles accounted for approximately 14 es of new vehicle registrations in the European market.

Battery electric car sales surpassed 730,000 units, signifying a significant 40% rise over the same period previous year.
