How turmeric helps digestion and gut health

Turmeric is also well-known for its nutrient-dense profile. It contains antibacterial, antiviral, and anti-inflammatory properties, all of which contribute to our general health. Hence, it is prevalent in ancient medical practice. Additionally, it also plays a significant role in home cure for a variety of diseases. On account of this, celebrity nutritionist and life coach Luke Coutinho gave a short suggestion on how to use turmeric for improved digestion.

Winter brings with it a slew of gut-related issues, one of the common issues is slowed digestion. In the winter, the human body will store heat and energy, which results in a slowed metabolism. Hence, doctors recommend consuming the right foods to promote healthy digestion. According to Luke Coutinho, one such meal is soaked turmeric. He took to Instagram and shared the tip saying that fresh turmeric soaked in water with fresh lemon, ginger, pink salt, and basil (Tulsi) is beneficial in promoting digestion and everything else. You may also add 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar to the mixture.

The nutritionist also suggested marinating the mixture for three days in an airtight mason jar and to eat one piece daily with your meal. He said, “If it suits you, have it, if it doesn’t, don’t have it.”

The useful healthy tip read as follows: “Fresh turmeric , yellow gold , scientifically documented roles in almost every inflammatory disease , immunity etc ….it’s that season , get it fresh , you see diced ginger , fresh lemon , pink salt and added in some e fresh garden basil (optional ) …gonna chop it up soak it in a mason jar with water , and can add 1 tsp apple cider vinegar…keep it in the fridge for 3 days tightly closed , enjoy a piece or more with your meals ….from digestion to everything else …if it suits you have it , if it doesn’t , don’t have it ….takes less than 10 mins to put this together …and yeah it tastes great ….i like to sprinkle some fresh black pepper over it when i’m eating it for better absorption ….how many of you water fresh turmeric or have benefitted from the use of turmeric ….”.
