Iconic Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour set to stop atWhite Rose Shopping Centre in Leeds

-

Holidays are coming!  Coca-Cola reveals the popular and famous Christmas Truck Tour return for 2023, and fans are already excited to see the iconic red truck in their home town or city.

The Truck Tour will arrive in White Rose Shopping Centre in Dewsbury Road Leeds bringing a sprinkle of magic and cheer across the country and is expected to be bigger, brighter and more festive than ever, offering the ultimate Christmas experience with a range of activities for visitors to participate in whilst exploring the iconic truck.

Guests will be also able to make a stop at the Ho-Ho-Hoop hut and participate in a game for the chance to win a selection of prizes including meal-inspired rewards and recycled Christmas tree decorations.

Visitors will be welcomed by a walk-in, snow-filled bauble, inviting families to step into a winter wonderland for the perfect holiday snapshot.  Families can pose for a memorable picture in front of the truck while listening to the Coca-Cola Christmas choir as they sing carols. The well-known vehicle has toured the United Kingdom for over a decade.

The drinks firm has confirmed that the Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour is coming back for 2023, with huge red festive lorries set to pull up in town and city centres, as well as shopping centres, across the UK. The Coca-Cola Christmas Truck Tour is an annual event that sees huge red Coke trucks, featuring the brand’s Christmas adverts, visiting locations to hand out free drinks, offer a chance to meet Santa and set up photo opportunities.

Thousands flock to see the events each year, inspired by the Holidays are Coming ad campaigns. The tour typically involves a fleet of Coca-Cola branded trucks that are adorned with festive decorations and holiday lights, often featuring the iconic Coca-Cola polar bear and Santa mascots. They travel to different cities and towns, making stops at various locations, such as shopping centers, public squares, and other popular gathering places.

Families love to visit the Coca Cola Christmas truck every year when it tours the country, decked out in fairy lights and offering cans of Coca-Cola Zero Sugar, Coca-Cola Classic or Diet Coke, is a sure sign Christmas is around the corner.

The tour has become a recognizable part of the holiday season in certain regions and is often associated with the Christmas season, despite being a commercial marketing initiative. Although the specifics of the tour might vary from year to year and by location, it generally aims to spread joy and goodwill during the festive period.

The experience will also lead visitors to the ‘Discover Your Inner Santa’ quiz, inspired by this year’s new The World Needs More Santas advert, which invites visitors to take the quiz and to unlock their unique Santa personality to embrace and embody.

The quiz results in four Santa archetypes, The Joyful Santa’, ‘The Thoughtful Santa’, ‘The Generous Santa’, and ‘The Empathetic Santa’. The goal of the quiz is to inspire people to embrace their Santa archetype along with the universal spirit of kindness, giving and friendship at Christmas, no matter how big or small.

Full details of the tour have yet to be announced with dates and locations coming in during the next few days. In recent years, Coca-Cola has released the dates a few at a time, just a few days ahead of the location of the truck.

The tour also helps Coca-Cola raise money for good causes, which last year included free meals for those in need and the Royal National Institute for the Blind.

The people of Ireland are already getting ready to enjoy the festive treat, with tour dates announced in Dublin’s RDS from 30th November until 3rd December, and will then travel to Belfast’s Titanic Quarter from 8th to 10th December.

A dedicated Facebook page,  ‘Christmas 2023 Coca Cola Truck Tour’, has more than 26k followers tracking its movements. Coca Cola is famous for its range of soft drinks, which includes original, diet and flavoured varieties like Cherry and Vanilla.

It visited a total of 42 locations across the UK in 2017, while in November and December 2019, it stopped off at 19 locations starting at Edinburgh and ending in London.

Last year it visited a total of 19 locations.

The Truck will visit Leeds on Thursday, November 30, 2023.
