Important of strategic priorities aligning using Wi-Fi network in education.

-

When it comes to education, technology is less about pushing limits and amazing investors are more about strongly depending on infrastructure which will support teachers and administration in helping pupils to grow in the present and prepare for the future.

Technology should not only be used in classrooms but also in auditoriums, offices and outdoor spaces. Technology is used by office staff to print document, counselors to research resources and in schools for teachers to take attendance and when students take assessments.  It can also keep parents informed, control temperature and provide security. Presently technology is used in IoT devices, smartboards, tablets and laptops.

Daily every single individual in a school is affected by technology. And most of that technology depends on the Wi-Fi network.

Long-term goals often focus on community relationships academic improvements and financial security. To achieve these goals, educational officials need to assess their resources and plot out actionable, steps to use those resources to reach the desired end.

Priorities should include where it gives pupils greater access to online resources, simplify teacher’s workload with automated support, through the use of online ads boosting community involvement and streamlining office tasks.

When priorities resemble any of the above, technology and Wi- Fi network are key resources. If there isn’t a reliable network, technology won’t be there when students and teachers need it. Strategic priorities will fall short without a capable network which supports growth. You need to know well about the current Wi-Fi network’s capabilities, capacity, strength and weaknesses is critical to both setting goals and achieving them. When it comes to designing, maintaining and optimizing reliability every network is unique.

Schools need an analytics platform that will deliver network insight and not only data. Through analytics you will know how the network is performing, and how to resolve when issues exist.

Analytics should come from the entire Wi-Fi ecosystem. This includes backend and frontend infrastructure, connected devices and non- Wi-Fi devices which will affect the network behavior such as Bluetooth.

It needs 24/7 access to the network. For the most part, teams should be able to run tests, review performance and solve problems without having to be onsight.

Technologies should be flexible and relatively easy to learn. Significant training time shouldn’t be required and vendor support should be highly rated and available.

When planning updates schools should look for E-rate eligible technologies. This program can make a significant difference in keeping resources budget-friendly and top-of-the-line.
