a plaque, lighting up the 5.5-acre pitch in the midst of a loud acclaim from the audience at a ceremony last week which was attended by more than 100 Indian Americans, who strictly followed the Covid guidelines. Durga Agrawal founded Piping Technology and Products, and he is the CEO of the company. He is also a current trustee and a founding member of India House.
According to the media, Agrawal and his wife have been involved with India House from its beginning and have made significant contributions. At the occasion, Agrawal discussed his goal of introducing cricket to the United States and building an inclusive institution that fosters cultural diversity. Retired Colonel Vipin Kumar, executive director of India House, and Dr. Virendra Mathur, trustee of India House, also addressed the occasion.
Agrawal addressed the media and spoke about the stadium and its role in community development. He said, “India House Houston has become a strong pillar of the community and continues to embark on their mission to unite cultures, create bridges and serve the community by bringing resources, education, services and Indian culture to Houstonians under the leadership of Vipin Kumar, Mathur, Rungta and the services of many other community members”.
Agrawal added, “This stadium is another great addition to India House, and we hope that the family and friends will come to watch the local cricket games hosted at India House on Saturdays”. India House Houston provides COVID-19 testing, health checkups, food distribution, and legal assistance at free of cost, along with free yoga, language, art, and technology programs to seniors, as well as soccer and cricket coaching and fitness and computer workshops.
