Jupiter Hospitals to invest 50 million pounds in UK neuro rehabilitation center

According to Jupiter Lifeline Hospitals, it intends to establish an advanced neuro rehabilitation facility in the United Kingdom with an investment of around 50 million pounds or INR 500 crores. The concerned rehabilitation facility in the United Kingdom would feature 100 inpatient beds especially for the treatment of stroke, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, spinal cord injury, Parkinson’s disease, progressive and non-progressive neurological illnesses, and sports injuries.

Dr. Ankit Thakker, executive director and CEO of Jupiter Hospitals, expressed hopes over the project. Thakker is a medical physician and graduate of the London School of Economics (LSE). He said, “With this project, we aim to set up the finest rehabilitation institute backed by advanced technology and research to give patients the best chance to win their war against disability”. He added, “We look forward to working closely with the NHS to make this accessible to the entire community, and not just restrict it for the elites”.

On completion, the facility is anticipated to generate around 500 employment opportunities. Additionally, UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson also expressed optimism over the mega project. He said, “I’m very pleased that Jupiter Lifeline Hospitals has decided to join the legions of Indian companies investing in the UK, boosting our healthcare sector and driving economic growth”.
