Los Angeles (Commonwealth union)_ Kim Kardashian was presented with the Giving Tree award at the Baby2Baby Gala held at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. During the event, Kardashian and Tyler Perry together contributed $1 million to the organization. At the event hosted by Mindy Kaling, Baby2Baby raised a total of $12 million in donations.

After accepting the award, Kardashian expressed her passion for justice and her desire to improve the lives of every kid on the globe. “As many of you are aware, advocating for justice is my real passion,” the reality TV star said. “Justice to me has several meanings, but what it ultimately comes down to is what is fair. What is right and what makes our world better, particularly for our children”. She added: “I want to continue using my voice and resources to contribute to your goal, while we support Baby2Baby in bringing fairness, equality, and justice to a number of children who have been deprived of fundamental necessities. You can make a difference without breaking the internet or having millions of followers. Everyone in this room has that power.”

During her speech, Kim expressed her gratitude to her parents. She thanked her mom Kris for being the backbone and heartbeat of the whole family. “A woman who has taught me what it means to put her kids and caring for others first. And my father, who instilled in me at an early age compassion, appreciation, and the significance of using this great life to serve others”. She said. “This award holds great significance to me. I wish to dedicate it to the ones I think, care about, and obsess over more than anything in the world, and that is my children.”

Tyler Perry was there to give Kim Kardashian the award, and he spoke a few words about what she had done. “There are people who are the roots of this tree, and you can discover some good souls. Thank you, Kim, for being the root at the bottom of the tree that provides us everything we need to survive,” he said. The event also featured a variety of culinary stations where visitors tasted delicious offerings from local Los Angeles restaurants such as Craig’s, Two Wings Chicken, Majordomo, Adam Perry Lang, Kazunori, Little Fish, and Burritos La Palma.
