United Kingdom (Commonwealth Union)_ Popular hot chocolate chain launched its Northgate Street venue.

A new chocolate drinks shop called Knoops has opened its doors in Chester city centre.

On 23rd November, popular hot chocolate chain Knoops launched its first Cheshire site on Northgate Street.  The Chester store opened in the former Blackstocks chip shop at 33 Northgate Street, enabling customers to customise their ideal hot chocolate, iced chocolate, or milkshake.

The growing brand which promised “expertly crafted chocolate drinks” has taken over the unit vacated by award-winning fish and chip shop Blackstocks last year.

Knoops is a British brand which specializes in expertly crafted chocolate drinks.  They have several stores across the United Kingdom including one in Manchester, and another in Oxford.

Bringing a point of difference to the café scene, Knoops is the only brand to boast a customisable chocolate percentage menu.

Designed to be democratic, Knoops has more than 20 different chocolate percentages – from 28% white to 100% extra dark, five different dairy-free and plant-based milks and 21 flavour enhancing add-ons, like sea salt, chilli, orange zest, and cinnamon. All drinks could be topped with a handmade Knoops marshmallow.

Drinks could be poured as a smooth hot chocolate; blended with ice cream for a delicious milkshake or poured over cold milk and ice for an iced chocolate. The Chester opening came just days before Knoops launches its seventh store opening of the year in Guildford on 30th November.

CEO William Gordon-Harris said that Chester and Guildford were both steeped in rich history making them beautiful places to explore with a Knoops drink in hand.  Since each was a hive of bustling activity, particularly at weekends, these charming locations were obvious places for a Knoops – “We’re looking forward to bringing something new and different to the food and drink scene in both places, in time for Christmas.”

Founder Jens began to share his passion for hot chocolate when he opened the first Knoops in Rye, East Sussex.  Jens Knoop has had a strong affiliation with chocolate since his childhood in rural Germany and in 2013, he decided to share his passion and opened the first Knoops store.

Jens has since then, gone on to open more Knoops stores, built a team of chocolate lovers around him, developed an at-home range of chocolate flakes, and even released a chocolate cookbook.

Jens Knoop said that he was delighted that Knoops was expanding and more people in the United Kingdom will be able to experience their chocolate drinks.    He said he was thrilled to continue our growth journey for the Knoops brand, whilst providing their customers, new and old, with their daily treat in a cup.

Bringing a point of difference to the café scene, Knoops boasts a customisable chocolate percentage menu. The brand was founded by Jens Knoop, who created the concept around Knoopology.
