Kylie Jenner’s New ‘Accessible’ Clothing Line…Set to…

-

Kylie Jenner, known for her ventures in cosmetics, skincare, and even a Bratz doll line, is now expanding her business empire with the launch of a new clothing line called “Khy,” set to debut on November 1. Although not her first foray into fashion design (she and her sister Kendall previously had their own licensed line), Khy is a fresh addition to Jenner’s business portfolio, leveraging her well-established consumer base and showcasing pieces inspired by her distinctive personal style.

Kylie gave her fans a sneak peek of her new clothing line on Instagram, sharing an image of herself wearing a stylish, long, puffy-sleeved faux-leather trench coat with the caption “meet khy.” This post led followers to the brand’s Instagram account, which has since featured additional faux-leather pieces, including a strapless mini-dress that Jenner debuted at Kim Kardashian’s recent birthday celebration.

Describing Khy as a brand that offers “creativity, collaboration, and quality at an accessible price,” the line aims to cater to a wide range of consumers with diverse tastes.

Kylie’s involvement with the fashion world earned her recognition from WSJ. Magazine, where she graces the cover of its November “Innovator’s Issue.” She was honored as the “Brand Innovator of the Year,” acknowledging her as a “global force in business.” This prestigious title places her among other luminaries from various fields, including Martin Scorcese, artist Ed Ruscha, and fashion designer Jerry Lorenzo.

In an interview with WSJ. Magazine’s executive fashion director, Rory Satran, Kylie Jenner shared her inspiration for Khy, stating that the collection is deeply rooted in her personal style and the different moods she experiences. She described the line’s aesthetic as reflecting “King Kylie — who I am at my core.”

Khy promises to be dynamic, featuring “different guest designers and concepts throughout the year.” The inaugural collection, with a biker glam theme, is a collaboration with Berlin-based fashion brand Namilia. The venture is not a solo effort, as Kylie’s mother, Kris Jenner, serves as a co-founder, joined by the formidable business duo Jens and Emma Grede, co-founders of Kim Kardashian’s Skims and Khloé Kardashian’s Good American.

Kylie’s strong vision and creativity in the fashion world have been reinforced by her background growing up in the public eye, always fascinated by clothes, makeup, and the art of self-expression. As Kylie shared, “Creatively, I have such a strong vision of what I want to look like and what I want to do and what I want to wear. I never get too stressed about these things because… fashion is supposed to be fun.”

With the launch of Khy, Kylie Jenner is poised to make a significant mark in the fashion industry, bringing her distinct style and creativity to a broader audience at an accessible price point.
