Locals become open books for first ever Human Library event!

CANADA – What is it like to never judge a book by its cover? Community members had the opportunity to explore that saying as they sat across individuals, who read out a chapter from their lives, turning themselves into a human library.

Held at the Sportsplex the evening of Thursday, April 28, this was the first time the human library movement took place in a small community like Terrace.

Organized here by the Skeena Diversity Society in partnership with the Terrace Public Library, the movement originated in Copenhagen in 2000 and has now spread to more than 80 countries.
