Maldives and Togo ties the knot and signs the dotted line!

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Republic of the Maldives and the Togolese Republic officially established diplomatic ties with the signing of a joint communiqué by the Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations, Thilmeeza Hussain, and the Chargé d’Affaires, a.i., of the Permanent Mission of Togo to the United Nations, Koffi Akakpo.

This move is expected to increase people-to-people contact and cooperation between the two countries and pave the way for greater bilateral and multilateral cooperation to achieve common goals. Further, the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Togo marks a significant milestone in their bilateral relations and is expected to contribute to greater economic and cultural exchanges as well as deeper political engagement.
