Mining sector fears vax laws could trigger a wave of resignations

By the end of October, just over 60 per cent of people eligible for COVID vaccinations had gotten their shot in the state, according to local government data.

“There is a little bit of an unknown around what the implications will be when the mandatory element of vaccination gets locked down,” Beyer noted. “This is the concern underlying around the industry; is there a reasonable chunk of people who decide they don’t want to be vaccinated? We would like to think that number is low or very low, but I guess we have got to see what happens.”
