Mumbai, India (CWBN)_ The Bollywood’s mega hit movie Mohabbatein completed its 20 years on Tuesday. The mega movie was directed by Aditya Chopra and was released in 2000. The beautiful love story casted the prominent icons of Bollywood such as the Super star Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Aishwarya Rai and others. The film was a box office hit and the poignant love story with family sentiments, the fantastic music and the touching song lyrics of the movie are admired and cherished even after 20 years.
The Bollywood stars and the fan followers along with the cast and crew of the film together celebrated the success and the memory of the movie Mohabbatein. The film’s cast shared their experiences and memories from the movie in social media.
Amitabh Bachchan who played the main character, Narayan Shankar, a strict Principal of a gurukul, wrote on his Twitter “Parampara, Pratishtha, Anushasan…….Mohabbatein is special for many reasons…….20 years of this beautiful love story, a roller coaster of emotions. Eternally grateful for all the love you continue to shower”. On another tweet, he wrote “The music of this film is a treasure……..The lyrics, the composition, each song is exceptionally made. Happy to have been a part of this film.”
Shah Rukh Khan who was the hero of the movie played the role of the music teacher Raj Aryan Malhotra. The actor too shared his memory in Twitter. He wrote “Pyaar aise hota hai… Saying the lines once again after 20 years, still remember how in a small studio had recorded the same with Adi breathing down my neck and Yash ji loving it. Sudden nostalgia. #Mohabbatein20 #AdityaChopra.”
A fan asked Shah Rukh Khan’s opinion on ‘Mohabbatein completing 20 years’, during Tuesday’s ‘Ask SRK’ session on Twitter. The actor said “I remember doing the first scene with Amitabh Bachchan and realised how short and small I am.”
The beautiful mega movie was directed by Aditya Chopra and produced by Yash Raj Films. The movie was well known for its cast and featured the prominent actors of Bollywood such as Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan and Aishwarya Rai in the lead roles and also casted Jimmy Sheirgill, Preeti Jhangiani, Uday Chopra, Shamita Shetty, Jugal Hansraj, Kim Sharma, Archana Puran Singh and Anupam Kher.
Apart from Mohabbatein, Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan have worked together in movies such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Veer-Zaara, Paheli and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
